A letter from our founder

So your child can answer their grandmother.

Dear parent,

After selling my last company, I finally had time to reconnect with old friends and family scattered across the world. One thing kept coming up. Their kids were growing up unable to speak the language we grew up in. The songs, the jokes, the easy back and forth with grandparents, all of it slipping away in a single generation.

It hit close to home. And for the first time, it felt fixable, because AI had finally come far enough to give a child a real one to one tutor, not just another app to tap.

That mattered more than it sounds. Benjamin Bloom showed decades ago that a child with a personal tutor can outperform 98% of children in an ordinary classroom. But a tutor like that was always too expensive to give everyone, and games alone were never going to close that gap. A genuinely good tutor, made affordable for every family, finally could. So we built TaiBoli.

I want to be honest about why this matters so much to me, because losing a language is bigger than losing words.

It opens a child up. Researchers at the University of Chicago found that kids who grow up around a second language are noticeably better at seeing things from someone else's point of view, the root of empathy and real communication. It shows up even in toddlers.

Every language says something the others cannot. The word that lands just right, the joke that dies in translation, the way you speak to an elder. These are not decoration. They are a way of seeing the world, and they leave with the language.

And it is the thread back to family. It is why people far from home have always fought to keep their language alive, from Jewish communities bringing Hebrew back as an everyday tongue after almost two thousand years, to the French guarding theirs wherever they settle. A language is an identity worth protecting.

Your child's first language will always be English. TaiBoli exists so it does not have to be their only one.

With warmth,
Aditya
